Mô hình đô thị thông minh hay thành phố thông minh sẽ là xu thế phát triển hạ tầng đô thị trong tương lai gần. Thành phố thông minh (Smart City) dựa trên nền tảng tiến bộ của khoa học công nghệ, đặc biệt là lĩnh vực công nghệ thông tin, kết hợp trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) và nền tảng dữ liệu lớn (Big Data) để giải quyết những vấn đề của mô hình đô thị cũ như ô nhiễm môi trường, tắc đường, nâng cao hiệu quả sử dụng năng lượng…

Cục Thông tin KH&CN quốc gia trân trọng kính gửi đến các nhà khoa học những nghiên cứu mới nhất về Smart City trên thế giới. Bao gồm những bài viết đã được xuất bản chính thức và các bài viết được chấp nhận đăng trên những cơ sở dữ liệu học thuật chính thống năm 2021.
