1. GRAB = seize: to take or hold sb/sth with your hand suddenly, firmly or roughly: túm lấy, chộp lấy, vồ lấy ai/cái gì một cách mạnh bạo, thô bạo

2. GRASP = grip: to take a firm hold of somebody/something: giữ chặt/nắm chặt ai/cái gì
grasp sb/sth: He grasped my hand and shook it warmly.
Kay grasped him by the wrist.
Grip the rope as tightly as you can.
She grasped his hand and pulled him towards her.
She suddenly grasped my arm and looked at me.

I grasped the gun with both hands and took aim.
The baby stretched out a tiny hand and grasped my finger tightly.

grasp sb by sth (the shoulders/arm/wrist etc): He grasped her firmly by the shoulders.
* The object of grasp is often somebody's hand or wrist.

** Take (an opportunity) eagerly:
=> Hăng hái nắm bắt (một cơ hội)
